Background & Rationale

We have chosen Houston region as the venue for the Asiatech III conference for good reasons. Houston is the Energy Capital of the World and has the Largest Seaport in the United States of America; and home to many exciting emerging technologies, such as Biotech, Nanotech, Renewable Energy, Petrochemical, and Information Technology. With oil prices at an all time high and very likely to continue to be so, many energy related industries in the Houston region will prosper and in turn nurture and support young and vibrant businesses in all sectors, not the least are innumerous small and medium size business enterprises (SME) which stand to benefit from the resulting growth of the economy of the region. Being an international center, Houston region is suited to become a major gateway for international trade and commerce, thus inviting to businesses around the world to enter and interact with the region. This is the specific Houston region opportunity in addition to the networking opportunity between the international businesses that will congregate in Houston for the Conference.
